Today's theme was "Fire Adapted Plants and Animals", I chose something local to me, that's the #Cork #Trees we have abundant here in #Portugal. Latin name: Quercus suber. These trees are in their natural state quite #fireresistant, however, due to the #harvesting of the cork the #tree is exposed to the elements which here in Portugal there are prone to #forestfires.
