Charity: Bicycle

Over the past few days, Douglas Cocha has been preparing for his epic 15,000km bicycle ride across Europe starting here in Lisbon, Portugal. His goal is to raise money and awareness for the World Food Programme. His first leg of his ride which starts here in Lisbon Portugal will take him across the Mediterranean to Greece in the next 90 days. As and when he gets through it, his next leg will take him across Turkey and up to Ukraine.

I met Douglas some years ago while I was travelling across the USA, he was, back then, also cycling for charity riding coast to coast. This time is no different. While I might not be able to give him as much advice about cycling as I could about anything else bicycle related, I enjoyed our conversations and made sure he was well-fed and comfortable in the time he was here.

If in any way you can support Douglas on his mission to help fight world hunger or feel like supporting him in some other way, please go to the link below.

Here is a little video shoot Douglas and I did while he was here in Lisbon.
