I recently have been in communication with Rodrigo and Felipe who are local tour guides here in Lisbon and wanted to start a new series of wine and cheese tasting events. The location they are looking to take their guest is Casa do Alentejo in the city centre. The building is magnificent.
The building which is unassuming on the exterior transports you into a Moorish palace just footsteps from the high street outside where the not-knowing pedestrian would miss out on. The decoration proudly boasts the virtues of the Alentejo region, rich in its agricultural roots, artisan bread and cheeses.
